Ugh..I hate .. salt sandwich days.
U know what that is?
It's when every part of mai body feels like it's wrapped in a salt sandwich, aka I feel bloated as hell. No matter what size you are, we as women all have the days when we're bloated due to whatever reason. It happens, and it sucks! We don't feel like ourselves. Mai fingers, mai toes, heck, mai entire stomach. I usually get this feeling thanks to that yummy sodium filled ramen soup from the night before, or when I think it's that time of the month so I go ham on truffle fries, only to realize- nope, it's just another Tuesday where I ate too damn much.
Good news is - on salt sandwich day I get to focus on Wearapy to help maiself feel better. Wearapy is mai way to describe the powerful, therapeutic effect when you use clothing to enhance the way you feel from the inside out. On this day, I worked with mai fabulous stylist for The Real, REBECCA, to select the most non-clingy, loose outfit for that day's taping of The Real so I didn't look and feel as bloated as I felt on the inside. Mai arms somewhat stay the same size, while mai midsection can bloat to what feels like an inner tube around me. So we picked a thin drapey dress to create that flowy silhouette. Rebecca knows I love to mix patterns, so she layered the dress atop another similar in fine print to add a distracting fun element. Rather than cinching it at the waist with a belt like I usually do, I opted for a low slung belt (below the FUPA, thank you) to comfortably add shape while hiding my area of insecurity. Lastly a delicate nude heel adds the dainty, lengthening touch. UZMEE and NOOGIE always add their finishing touches that pull the whole look (and mai painted cheekbones) together. But most importantly, I'm thrilled to see that once again, Wearapy of fun print and comfy silhouette has lifted me out of mai funk. I hope this helps you out too!
