Every week I find it so impressive watching these makers create a world out of imagination. Who looks at a telescope and thinks, “I could make a light source out of that”? Apparently they do. Not only do they blow me away with their physical creations, but I can only imagine how hard it is to come up with a concept that every team member agrees on. Although I fear Ave's stress tolerance may not be a little low, I will give her major props for giving everyone a voice. I was nervous when she gave her spiel about leading, but not controlling the group. I thought that was foresight for the inevitable, disastrous argument. I'm happy to say I was wrong! Their Vermilion Vixen concept truly was collaborative. And I agree with the judges decision of declaring them the winner of the challenge. The red tones gave it much more of a “femme fatale” feel. Not to mention that outfit! Girl! Miss Morgan's Alchemist design bordered more masculine territory. It broke my heart to see Lady Hawk's design get ripped to shreds. I tend to agree with the harsh truth from the judges, but it was still sad to see that twinkle disappear from her eyes.
Ummm...Mystery Button? What a cruel joke! First of all, the makers looked scared to death when they saw you in the morning. And are we really surprised that Eddie was the one who pushed the button? He's such a loose cannon. At least he has a sense of humor...Eddiot. So here we are, trading teammates. Worst. Trick. Ever. I really felt for Charles because it's hard to change gears that quickly, especially when it comes to creativity. JW may be kind of a bull, but the man knows what he's doing. He quickly adapted to his new surroundings and obviously hit it out of the park. I think part of the reason is that he just does whatever he wants.
Ok. Enough venting. Time to talk fashion folks.
Daniel Musto and I went for a 60's inspired fringe frock and mixed "wood like accessories" which works with really cool laminate plastics.
Uzzy took makeup to a whole new level with rediculously extended lashes that she echoed with eye make up to create a flared effect.
Very rarely does Noogie Thai take a back seat when it comes to hair with all the feathers and fringe going on. I'm glad he did, otherwise I would look like a drag queen laying on a shag bath rug honey.
How did you guys like this look and what did you think of the episode? Don't hold back.
