You thought the matching pant suit was done? Think again because it is far from over. This next stage of our two-piece obsession begins.. and it begins with new textures, sexy silhouettes and eye catching patterns. Proving that a blazer-and-trouser combo is infinitely versatile, we've seen the look on various celebrities at a wide array of events recently ahhhem.. Beyoncé donned a velvet Barbara Bui two-piece and hit up a Broadway musical. These ladies prove that it's time the pantsuit came back, in and outside the workplace — because, honestly, the silhouette is looking sexier and better than ever. Here are Mai tips on how to rock the revamped pant suit:
- Mai set happens to be matching, but who says that this is a non-bendable rule? One of Mai favorite takes on the matching blazer-pant trend is pairing two pieces together that are of different fabrics. For example, lets say you find a rockin' black velvet blazer and it is a must have for your wardrobe, but you can't find velvet pants. Not to worry! Try pairing it with black satin pants instead. Mixing textures with a fitted, velvet blazer and loose-fit, satin-look trouser will always be celebrity stylist approved.
- Looking to add something different to a pant suit? Instead of wearing pants, try a shorter version (Like Mai Cropped pants). This will not only give your look a more edgier vibe, but it will give your outfit a new uniqueness that will have everyone curious about where its from. Fun fact, when I received these pants they were not cropped! My amazing stylist Chelsea altered these pants into the most perfect lil' knickers! This was easily done by simply adding an elastic band and cinch to the bottom of the hem.

Also, how could I not mention Mai amazing hair! These fluttery little hair clips were added to the back of Mai head to create the most fun, unique, and over-the-top (in the best way possible) hair look I have ever laid Mai eyes on! It may look complex, but really it is an easy look to achieve at home, no hair expert required. Strategically place your hair clips on the back of your hair, and make sure to mix up the smaller and larger pieces to create a balance.
