Are maxi skirts still a thing? Um, because in Mai book they are. Maxi skirts tend to get a bad rep, as they usually resemble something light weight and florally and typically worn on a tropical vacation. But this is the furthest from the truth because carefree dressing is completely ruuuuling this season, and those "vacation only" outfits can actually be worn outside of vacation. Ground breaking, I know. With the right material and combination of other pieces, a maxi skirt can become a key piece to a killer outfit. Don't believe me? Well try out #MaiTips below and you can be the judge.
- I love myself a bold statement piece that transforms outfits, so when I laid my eyes on this skirt it was love at first site. Go with a skirt that has a slit on one side because this will make each step forward will look much more dramatic. And better yet, a slit will actually LENGTHEN your legs and make you look leaner and taller. I am only 5'4" so I will take what I can get!
- Of course you can just go with a ordinary black maxi skirt, but the problem is I know Mai girls (that's you) aren't ordinary. So try something bolder and mix and match a bright colored maxi skirt with a simpler tank or blouse to give a balanced effect. Bright colors are definitely acceptable during the fall and winter so never let anyone tell you otherwise.
