When one thinks of florals their first thought most likely is a summer piece worn when the weather is either 1. warming up (spring) or 2. already hot af (summer). With Thanksgiving and Christmas right around the corner one may suspect that we should all start to wear darker hues of color, right? Nope! I love wearing florals in the colder months because it gives off a romantic vibe that can feel straight out of a fairytale. Below are #MaiTips to wearing florals in in the colder months, and to totally rock it while doing so.
- First, the key to getting away with florals in the fall and winter is to choose a floral print that includes darker shades. While a pink floral dress might be one of your fav's, swap that out for a red or burgendy floral. This is the easiest way to start incorporating florals in your fall and winter wardrobe.
- Get your stocking on. Popping on a pair of tights under a floral frock can easily transform a summer staple into a beautiful fall ensemble.
- Keep your pants on, and pair a floral blouse with a dark pair of denim. Just like my look, the black denim wash of my jeans definitely creates such a fall vibe that no one will even question your decision to wear florals out in the chilly months.
