Winter may have just begun, but I know for some of you warmer spring weather might be on your mind. Florals tend to get the rep of only being an option when the weather heats up, but quite honestly, I don't like to abide by that rule. There is always a right way and a wrong way to introduce floral fabrics into your winter wardrobe, so here are #MaiTips with getting away with that one floral dress that you got in your closet.
- Do: Pick your cut and fabric wisely! I cannot exaggerate this enough guys. The way an outfit fits on your body will completely transform your look. For example, my Alice & Olivia dress is flattering for my body type because of the way it lays on my figure. Also keep in mind that long sleeves and warmer fabrics can also disguise and balance the effect of the floral pattern.
- Don't: Wear different forms of clothing and send mixed signals! Lets say that it is under 30 degrees and you decide to go with snow boots and a scarf. This means DO NOT decide to wear your little pink flirty summer floral dress with these pieces. Make sure to stay with darker florals, like this dress right here.
